It's been two years since Stephen Garrett, better known as Static Major, suddenly died. He was one of the best songwriters and producers, also a phenomenal singer. Thanks to Static, we can enjoy hits like "Pony" by Ginuwine or "Say My Name" by Destiny's Child. But the most important to me is an input that Static had to Aaliyah's career - "Are You That Somebody", "Try Again", "More Than A Woman", "We Need A Resolution", "Don't Know What To Tell Ya", "Loose Rap", "Rock The Boat" - there wouldn't be any of these tracks without him.

The sad thing is i didnt even know much about him until recently , i then found out how many songs he had produced how much he was a part of aaliyahs career and then it was to late so tragic RIP
Oh yeah I kown it's been 2 years since his death in '08 but his legacy lives on! rip static & liyah!
